Stacey Solomon has revealed to fans that she has chosen her wedding dress just months before she walks down the aisle. The Loose Women star and fiancé Joe Swash are preparing to say 'I Do' in July.

The loved-up couple, who got engaged on Christmas Eve 2020 during a family woodland walk, were due to wed last year but their big day was postponed due to the pandemic and Stacey falling pregnant with their daughter, Rose, who was born on Stacey's 32nd birthday in October.

However, it is now full steam ahead to the pair's big day with Stacey previously revealing they'll tie the knot in the back garden of their Essex home, affectionately called Pickle Cottage, in the summer. Earlier this year, Stacey shared a mini insight into her wedding as she shared her nerves and 'aisle dilemma'.

But now, the mum-of-four has shared another update - and it's beautiful. Stacey took to Instagram on Monday (April 25) to share a glimpse at a variety of stunning gowns as she looked for the perfect dress for her impending nuptials.

Sharing videos to her Instagram Stories set to a variety of romantic songs, Stacey told her millions of followers: "Good Morning from me and some words I never imagined I'd be saying... I'm picking my wedding dress today." She then added, pre-empting what her fans may say: "Joe is still away and I've hidden him from my stories don't worry."

The clips showed the gorgeous dresses as well as glimpses of Stacey trying them on. She continued: "Honestly I've had the best day ever. I'll be honest I've been putting this off. This is the first time I've tried anything on I don't know why but it was making me feel so funny." The TV star then joked: "I think because I'm not the Virgin Mary or something. It was making me feel all weird."

Stacey explained that she decided to try on some dresses at home before being joined by her sister, Jemma, after the school run. "And I've never felt more special that today," she emotionally added.

She then took to her main Instagram page to share a mirror selfie of herself in a beaded gown with a sweetheart neckline and a veil, looking emotional with her eyes clearly puffy from shedding a few tears. "Today I Choose My Wedding Dress," Stacey said. "And I never want to forget this feeling…

"I’ve been putting it off I think because the more I got excited about it the more silly I felt for some reason… I started feeling really conscious about not being, well I don’t know. I wouldn’t have done life any other way EVER. I’m so grateful for how it turned out and I genuinely believe everything happens for a reason.

"But I suppose sometimes those old fashioned narratives make you feel that way don’t they? I decided to try my dresses on, at home with just me not making a “thing” of it. But it turns out it felt like the hugest “thing” ever. My sister dropped the kids back from school and popped up and we both ended up emotional messes."

Stacey had also shared a snap of Jemma also in tears stood alongside her in her dressing table mirror. She continued: "I loved every single second of today, trying them on, imagining seeing Joe for the first time, feeling the veil on my shoulders & seeing the glitter sparkle as I moved around."

She did, however, clarify: "None of these are THE dress but I took this picture to remember how excited I felt today. And no matter who, how or what way around you do it, it’s the most special moment ever."

Stacey and Joe began dating in January 2016 after working together on the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here spin-off and got engaged after five years together. The following year, the pair welcomed their second child, Rose, into the world after opening up about suffering heartbreaking miscarriages before conceiving their baby daughter.

The couple have two children together, with their son, Rex, born in May 2019, while Stacey shares her eldest son, 14-year-old Zachary, with her ex-boyfriend Dean Cox and her second son, nine-year-old Leighton, with her ex-fiancé Aaron Barnham. Joe Swash also has 13-year-old son Harry from a previous relationship.
